People have the wrong assumption that if their gums bleed after they have brushed their teeth, then they are doing a good job in removing plaque. To make it clear enough, bleeding gums do not signify that you had plaque removed or you have brushed your teeth with the right technique. One of the classic signs of gum disease is actually bleeding. That is why you should not rejoice when your gums bleed.
